Commonwealth Lands $220 Million Team in Michigan

Commonwealth Financial Network has recruited the Center for Wealth Management from MML Investors Services.

Waltham, Mass.-based independent broker/dealer Commonwealth Financial Network announced Monday it added an advisory firm in Troy, Mich., a northern suburb of Detroit, from MML Investors Services.

The Center for Wealth Management manages some $220 million in assets for retirees, individuals near retirement and young professionals. The firm specializes in working with engineers, and has an awareness of the employee benefits at a local energy company, DTE Energy.

The firm consists of Robert J. Moore (not to be confused with Robert “RJ” Moore, the former head of Cetera Financial), Justin M. Williamson and Jeffrey R. Steele. In a prepared statement, Moore said the firm made the move to expand its services and take advantage of Commonwealth’s technological capabilities and consulting services.
