Wedbush Securities Names Christopher Mone Head of Wealth Management

Christopher Mone, the former president of U.S. markets for Wilmington Trust Wealth Advisory, has been named an executive vice president and the head of wealth management at Wedbush Securities.

A former executive at Wilmington Trust has left to head up wealth management at Wedbush Securities. 

Christopher Mone, the former president of U.S. markets for Wilmington Trust Wealth Advisory, has been named an executive vice president and the head of wealth management at Wedbush, a Los Angeles-based financial services firm that also provides equity research, municipal finance and trading, commodities marketing and securities lending. He will be based in L.A. where the firm is headquartered and report to co-Presidents Richard M. Jablonski and Gary L. Wedbush.

Mone will also be a member of the executive management committee at Wedbush, which has more than 1,000 employees in nearly 100 offices.

Jim Richards, another executive vice president at Wedbush, was appointed to the newly created role of director of operations for the wealth management division and will report to Mone.

Mone has more than 25 years of industry experience, having also worked for BNY Melon Wealth Management, UBS Wealth Management and Prudential Securities.

In a statement about his new role, Mone said he's looking forward to developing and expanding Wedbush's private wealth management business, which manages more than $2.1 billion across client segments.
