RBC Adds Two Wirehouse Teams in the Northeast

The brokerage has recruited a team from UBS, with $650 million in AUM, and one from Merrill Lynch, with $220 million, this week.

RBC Wealth Management continues to recruit advisors out of the wirehouses, despite the effects of the global pandemic, including a team from UBS and one from Merrill Lynch this week.

Mark Bilski, an advisor leading a team out of midtown Manhattan with about $650 million in client assets, joins from UBS. Bilski also brings over Senior Business Associate Melanie Clish, Senior Investment Associate Jeff Hyman, Senior Registered Client Associate Cathy Hillebrand and Registered Client Associate Robin Bratone.

Bilski’s move follows the recruitment of the Sheresky-Samsen Group, which also joined the Midtown Manhattan branch from UBS in late May.

“The difference for me at RBC is a true entrepreneurial culture and a strong leadership team, many of whom were advisors themselves,” Bilski said.

In addition, RBC announced that Cahill, Gibson Wealth Management, a team based out of Farmington, Conn,. managing about $220 million in assets, comes over from Merrill Lynch. That team, led by Timothy Cahill, includes advisor Martha Gibson and Senior Registered Client Associate Tiffany Porter.

“RBC advisors have direct access to the firm’s top leadership, which speaks volumes to the value the company places on advisor input,” Cahill said.
