Hi johnson1224, my company has provided me with STC and I am having a hard time with it. My co worker swears by Training Consultants as she just passed her 7 and 66 last April using TC. Did you go with TC?

My company gave me kaplan materials but I used Testeachers and I really liked it. The videos were great and I passed on the first time.

Highly suggest those that plan on taking the 7 to use the Training Consultants material, I passed last week with an 84.

Hey 97obw, when are they changing the exam, I have mine on the 18th?
I am using Training Consultants now and scoring in the 80’s on my practice exams, even over 90 on a couple. My firm uses Fire Solutions and they are overkill and basically tell you everywhere not to turn. TC is very straight forward.

Johnson1224, how close would you say the actual exam is to the Training Consultant material? or the Practice exams?

There is no formal change to exam. The link is to what they release each year regarding their topic priorities for the year. It is a good read, though. It tells you what they think is important. It is largely about the type of investments people need to be more informed about before investing.

I passed my exam today,with lots of room to spare, I will say TC worked very well. It had a very straight forward approach and had great delivery in their support aspect as well. It really comes down to one’s learning style and study habits, getting enough sleep, etc.

Mstudy, the Finra page was pretty interesting and informative. Makes us all realize how ever changing people’s needs are. There was also a bunch of other good info on there for anyone interested.

Saragwen, I was thinking about using the test-teacher online for series 7. Do you think it would be helpful. I took exam twice and day before yesterday missed it by 2 questions. I received 71 percent and was using kaplan and would not recommend. Do you think Test-Teacher is worth it and was the questions more challenging like how it was on the test? Please advice.
