Does anyone know anything about this firm?? I have a friend who works there and hates it. He started about 2 mos. ago. My curiosity has plagued me. Thanks.

I don’t know of the firm but I have an associate that I used to work with in NYC and I checked his CRD last week.  Apparently he left our old company and went to SW Bach.  I have no idea who they are.

Ah, nothing like checking each other’s CRD history.

Lest anybody wonder where Dewey Cheatham works, somebody left there to go TO SW Bach.  Been down so long that everything’s up, even Bach.

I like you Put.  You assume that you know everything.

I WAS in New York.  I am not there now.  I actually worked at a firm that is a NYSE member and trades on the NYSE while I was in New York.  Why anybody would leave there to go to a no name firm is beyond me.

Anyway, I have since relocated back to the south.  Doing well.  Selling, not supervising.  I work for a living.  How about you?  Still trying to figure out the 90th percentile thing...huh?

Put's old math professor has a booth at the flea market, and he's going to go there this weekend to try to get it straightened out.  Apparently, mathematics is wrong, but Put is right.

What a scheisskopf.

That's nice.  Tell me, why did you run a CRD check rather than just call them on the phone?

You could have a nice talk and ask why leave a nationally known firm and join SW Bach.

Why do you suppose it happened?  Surely as a thinking adult you have an opinion.

Put,

You're a dumbass.  I shouldn't explain myself to you but since everyone on here is in the process of educating you, I will talk to you like you are 4 years old (or 400; whichever is closer) and continue the education of Put Trader.

I am in the process of changing jobs.  I have an offer on the table and I use my previous manager from NY as a reference (always good to have a managing director at a NY firm as a reference).  Thus, I checked his CRD to make sure that he is still with the firm.  At the same time, I was nosy and checked the names of a few guys that were on the same sales team that I was on to make sure that they were there too.

Now do you understand?

Surely as a thinking adult...oops...scratch that.

Put…why are you always causing a ruckus? Why can’t you just answer the question? Stay with the topic buddy and be nice.

I repeat, why not just pick up the phone and call?

Using a guy as a reference who does not know you're using him as a reference is like a lawyer asking a question in court that he doesn't know the answer to.  What an incredibly dumb-ass thing to do.

When the CRD notifies the guy that you were looking at his CRD what do you think he is going to think about you?
