Series 7 Classes and material

Hi,
I was wondering who here can tell me which classes are better, STC(securities training corporation) or greico. Im here in new york wanted to know which classes and material would have better results. Also if there are any other classes which are better then these two i would also appreciate some input.
Many Thanks,
I used STC and was happy with it and did great on the exam. I also used it for the 66 and had similar results. I would look at is how many sample exams you get with each option and factor that into your decision. Taking and retaking the sample exams is where I learned the most. Good luck.
MattHi,
I got the passperfect package 2006 edition with chapter exams book and final exams book… My worry is the 2006 edition might be out of date for the exam, anyone recently took the exam using older material? any advice… i was also thinking purchasing the new 2008 kaplan series 7 premier set book, any comments or recommendations?
Advice: Use Kaplan not Passperfect… Due to the regulation changes that have occured in the 2 years. Plus Kaplan is rather easy to use and understand.
Miss JI used STC for the 7, 66, and 31. I didn’t care much for there 66 prep, I was getting 95-98 on the practice tests and then scored an 86 on the real thing, the practice exams kind of gave me a false sense of security. I thought they were great for the 7 and 31 though.
I've heard a few people say they really liked the kaplan stuff as well.Thank you.. i will be picking up the kaplan series 7 premier set today. I will let you know the results of the exam... Much appreciated all your input :)
Hi
I had initially purchased the "Series 7 Exam for Dummies", which gave me some useful help. I really loved the way that the book was written, so I looked up the author. He is the owner of Empire Stockbroker Training Institute (www.empirestockbroker.com). I purchased his Series 7 books and they were awesome. The price was better than STC and Kaplan and the books were very easy to understand with tips and notes along the way. Additionally, the practice final exams (which were many) were exactly like the real exam. When I went into the test, I was scoring upper 80s on the Empire exams and I got an 88 on the real exam. I definitely recommend that you check their books out. Good luck on your test!
