I have interviewed with a bank 4 times, two over the phone, and two I had to fly out to <?:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />San Francisco.  The last was March 29.  When interviewing for a wholesaler job, how long does it take before they call you to offer you the job.

I have no idea, but I think it's rude to have no contact with a candidate for over a month after the fourth interview.  I wouldn't sit around waiting for an offer from that company.  Either call them and ask what your status is or start interviewing elsewhere.

FWIW, I couldn't imagine doing a wholesaler's job.  I spend most days ignoring requests to return wholesaler calls.  If one has the nerve to show up without an appointment, I won't see them even if I have nothing on the schedule.  I suppose there's money in it, but there's also a whole lot of abuse...

You know I am very grateful that they would even keep me in mind.  So I am giving them there time.  The first time I was out I did not get the job and than they called me back and paid for my plane ride to San Fran and hotel and food.  So I am giving them time.  My faith is also in God and not people, but I will tell you right now it is tough you are waiting on a call.

Newsflash: You are not in their minds. You are a speck in their rearview mirrors. Keep looking at other banks/firms.

Bobby,

We will see, they have taken care of me up to this point, so we will see.

Thanks Brother, i have been after it for a while, this is the way i want to go.  I have 6,7,63 and have been an internal wholesaler for 6 years now.  I have been looking to get outside for the last two years, like i said God is on my side it will happen.  What do you do in this industry.

The only reason for my success in this field is because I let go and let God.  Let them make fun of me if they want.

Don't forget to thank God for all the good things you have.

Best of luck.

You should have called them already just to check in…this is what they would expect their wholesalers to do out in the field…be proactive about making contacts.

Cash, I would keep calling them, you know, the squeeky wheel syndrome. Show them you want it more. I did this with a large mutual fund company and it worked like a champ. Good luck!

I have called once and talked to the guy that I Interviewed with, but there is another person doing it all.  She has keep her word so far, that is why i am not calling.  This really came up out of the blue and i believe the call for my offer will come out of the blue.  One of the hardest things to do is be patient, but right now i just exercise faith and wait for it to happen.  Thanks guys for all your response they are all good and have helped me out.
