I was looking into possibly being an independent contractor providing services for various financial advisors in the deliverables area. I've been completing side work for other advisors and was wondering if anyone has ever heard of such a service?

I've heard others try this. 

They want to do the planning work while the Advisors spend the face time in front of clients.  No idea if anyone has ben successful doing this, but I know others have tried.
