I have received offers from

both Morgan Stanley’s FAA Program and Raymond James MAP. Does anyone have any advice on which program would be the best for a minority female getting started in the business? My first instinct of course tells me to go with Morgan Stanley for the prominent name, but the management team directly told me that their training program is not the best and the failure rate is high. I have a lot of confidence in my abilities, however I want to ensure a successful career path. The team at Raymond James seems to really like me and want to contribute to my growth. I was also told that I would be given a lot more freedom in branding myself and my practice. I plan to prospect high net worth women ie; business owners, executives, doctors, lawyers, and wives of celebrities/ athletes. I already have a lot of these people in my network. I’d appreciate any advice.

Hi fearlessgirl90, I’m in the process of applying to those same companies for those same programs. Hopefully someone can shed some light on what we can expect, and glad to see I’m not the only one!

Hi, I know of both programs but have not gone through either of them. Full disclosure. That said, RJ will be a more nurturing envoriment than MS. They are not hiring the masses but more effectively the “right” people. For that reason alone, I would go with RJ. Good luck!
