Hello, I am currently employed in training to be a financial advisor. I passed my series 7 and take the 66 in a few weeks. I have a bachelors in mathematics with limited educational background in economics and finance. I know that I can be a successful advisor however, I am much more interested in becoming an analyst. I just want some advice on how I should go about pursuing my CFA. I am fine working as an advisor for a few years and possibly getting a masters in financial economics. Will having 3 years experience as an advisor help me get a analyst job? Or is it a waste of time? Please advise.

If you want to become an analyst, pursuing the CFA designation should help towards that goal. I think that working as a FA might help a little towards becoming an analyst. However, you should probably try to get a job as a junior analyst. I would think that some companies might be interested in hiring a person with a math degree. To pursue the CFA designation, you can go to the CFA Institutue's website and enroll in the program.
