Edward Jones outside of US?

I’m thinking of taking an offer from Jones to work in the UK. Does anybody else here know much about how they are going outside of the USA? I’ve lived and worked in the US, UK, and Canada for this specific situation, I see potential in the UK. Unlike North America, Jones are NOT well known in the UK (no TV adverts etc), and currently have about 250 offices (UK population approx 60 million) which seems to me to indicate that there are plenty of potential customers. Not many other major players seem to be offering competition yet. The few Jones guys I have talked with in the UK are happy and doing well, but of course, nobody ever talks to the ones that have left! The ‘down’ side of it is that there is no ‘brand’ recognition. Nobody has heard of them.
Anybody have any comments to make?

I seem to recall from when I was at Jones that things in Canada were not going well. Never heard much about Uk.
I think things are going well as far as the advisors are concerned. It is more an issue of growth. The int’l divisions are not yet profitable.
I’m not sure what their cash flow is like in Canada but they have about 750 offices (Canada population approx 32 million) so that doesn’t put them that far behind the office density of the US. If Jones put proportionally the same number of offices in Canada and the UK as they currently have in the US, the numbers would be about 1000 for Canada and 2000 for the UK. Rumors I have heard indicate that they are considering the Netherlands in the future.
