Since Bobby got his GED he has been a whirling dervish of posting.
I don't see how anybody could read this forum for more than a day or two and not realize that this is not an educated group of people.

From this point forward, for our purposes, you are french.

The short answer is that firms require a Bachelor’s Degree in order to begin the interview process. It doesn’t matter what the degree is in, it just proves to the manager that you are capable of learning relatively quickly and passing the licensing exams. I have heard of exceptions to this rule, but it has always entailed at least some college and prior, successful, sales experience.
I, FYI, hold a Bachelor of Science Degree from a Big Ten University. I’m sure DAtoo has a crumbly old diploma from the now defunct Jamestown College laying around somewhere.
As DAtoo will be quick to second, stockbroker is, in fact, a sales job. The ability to sell is what will get you hired.

Why are so many of the people who leave their brain farts on this forum incapable--absolutely incapable--of ever making an intelligent comment?
DAtoo, i did some research and 289 of your 300 posts have been b*tching about something and not “intelligent comments”

To answer your question, no you do not need to attend a University or even go to college to become a "stockbroker". You will have a much more difficult time getting hired without a degree however it can be done if you have the successful sales experience, interview well and are of above average intelligence. If you search the posts on here you will find that the Insurance side is not a bad place to start. You will learn sales skills and can usually obtain your Series 7 and 66 through them. Good luck and by the way for our purposes you are French.
Bobby Hull someday I hope we meet so I can buy you a beer. Always entertaining!!
