Do companies like EDJ and SB, ML, and the other have good contact management systems for their FA's?  I'm making a huge list of local businesses, but I probably have some repeats on my list.  I'd like some sort of system that will allow me to enter the business, tell me if it's already in the system, enter notes from my contact with them, and the ability to set reminders to get back in touch or for birthdays and things like that.  Are systems like this available at most companies?  If not, any suggestions on the best contact management systems?

Thanks!

Oldspice, I can’t speak for more than myself but EDJ has a decent prospect system with a contact system and daily calendar with tasks for each day to be checked off as completed. Also each contact has a progression rating that is color coated so you know how to proceed/notes system to make notations for prospects.

Hope this helps, DC

Thanks DC, that system sounds even better than what I was looking for.

Does anyone else know what the contact management software is like at other companies?

We just brought a guy over from Merrill, and he said the CMS system we have at Jones is far better than what he had at Merill.

Jones does have a decent CRM package.  I have been using Redtail, www.redtailtechnology.com.  It’s pretty good. It does everything the Jones system does (contacts, tasks, calendar, client segmentation etc.), but it does not integrate with LPL for account values.
