CFP exam tips?

Officially signed up for the march CFP exam. Wondering if there are any words of wisdom from others who have passed the exam? I have the work experiance already, and I have already obtained my FINRA licenses (for whatever thats worth). Now im doing the Ken Zahn program and wondering if I should just read through the material or if there is a particular part I should focus on? HELP?!?!
pbfinanceman,
I was in your shoes this time a year ago. I took the exam in March, and was fortunate to paas the first time. I did the Kaplan program—make sure that you go to a live review or attend one online; it is definitely worth it. I wouldn’t focus so much on any one area—I would review them all. Take at least one practice exam to get yourself used to the experience before you go into it for real. Our exam was heavy into ethics questions, but that doesn’t necessarily mean yours will be too. Make sure that you review the CFP website and look over the Financial Planning process, Code of Ethics and Principles, and the Board of Standards stuff. You will likely get questions on those—they were not covered in my review course, but I reviewed them anyway…Good luck on the exam!!! You can do it!!!
Thanks mhtorrey,
I have heard that the ethics was heavly tested in july and nov as well. I asm signed up for a live review. I heard Ken Zahn was one of the best programs. I have been struggling with Insurance alot because I have never sold it. Lets hope its not heavily tested.
