Does anybody sell bonds anymore? Any Bond daddy’s on the board? I got my start at a bond firm cold-calling back in the 90’s and left to get into IT. But they are still making killer $$$ from what I have seen lately. Any institutional or retail bond salesmen have any insight on the bond market careers in sales and trading??

On the retail side it's harder than the 90's because of call restrictions. Still, it can be done.
In the Northeast or Florida try JB Hanauer. They're a small firm with an excellent reputation that specializes in tax free bonds. Small, well run, with many million dollar plus producers.
Im a trader on the institutional side. Dealers are always looking for qualified sales guys. A little more difficult to get in as a trader. Our lowest producers bring in approx 350k gross a year, with our top producers easily exceeding 1mm. Like any carreer in this field it takes time to build your book depending on the type of support the dealer offers and what type of products they are axe in. Same goes for the retail side. On the retail side, there are still bond brokers out there making a very decent living for themselves. Are you looking to get into this field? If so shoot me a msg and Ill see what I can do to lead you in the right direction. Good luck
