I'm new in the business and was wondering what's the pros and cons of working at a big investment firms vs. the small firms.

Thanks in advance for your comments.

Big Firm = Good infrastructure, possibly good training, and possibly a good name, or least a trusted reputation (many clients might be pissed at the big firms, but at the end of the day trust the institution over an "unkown").

Small Firm = Possibly more flexible with policies, may not have negative connotations associated with them (i.e. bailouts, fines, subprime issues, etc.), possibly more direction and communication from management.
