You generally don't need to become registered with the Administrator unless compensation is recieved either directly or indirectly for your advice.  That's the general rule.

You guys don't need to be so defensive about your job security. I know.. and frankly you know, that just about anyone can get the license you have to be a FA so back off of her. I'm an undergrad and could pass that test without picking up a single test prep manual. If people want to come to this website to ask questions and use these forums to learn more then how could you grill them? You're sorry souls, Get bent..
