According to a Jan. 14 memo distributed to the sales force, here's what happened: The 800 number reps use to call the ILX workstation help desk was mistakenly broadcast on ABC's "Who Wants to be a Millionaire" TV show.

ILX was "bombarded with calls" from viewers wanting to be on the show, the memo said. The heavy traffic interfered with calls from Edwards users, and ILX had to provide the firm with a new toll-free number.
