Wachovia Securities continued the restructuring of its sales and marketing group by naming Keith Gregg its new national sales director. Gregg, previously Wachovia's regional director of the northeast and California, will run the firm's independent rep business development unit, with new regional directors — in five regions. Included in those regions are Cary Clark, previously with Wachovia's private client group in Utah, and John Puzio, who joins after 14 years at Merrill Lynch.
Donnie Casey, executive vice president and director of staff at A.G. Edwards, has announced her retirement, effective next February. Mary Atkin, → current director of corporate strategy, replaces her.
Robert Jones, a veteran of AXA Financial for almost 40 years, has been named the new executive vice president and head of retail distribution for the firm's advisor arm.
Rich Franchella, former national sales manager at Prudential Securities, has left Wachovia in order to remain in the New York area. He is now a senior vice president at Legg Mason, running the firm's New York offices in midtown and downtown Manhattan.
David Laplaca, a multimillion-dollar producer, has moved to Deutsche Bank in San Francisco from Lehman Brothers, according to the NASD. Laplaca was with Lehman for four years.
