Arbitration Cases On the Rise

Many predicted that the settlement of the Wall St. scandals would spark a spike in arbitration. Well, that prophecy is coming true: Total cases filed through May were up 22 percent from the same period in 2002, putting 2003 on pace for more than 9,000 broker arbitrations.
