United Capital Brings Mobile App to Clients

The app brings all the capabilities of United Capital's web-based client portal to clients' smartphones.

United Capital Financial Advisers has introduced a new mobile app that allows clients to monitor their financial plans and receive updates and communicate directly with their advisors.

The app includes all the capabilities of the advisory firm’s web-based client portal, GuideCenter. It is available in the iTunes App Store and Google Play.

GuideCenter was launched nearly two years ago, with the goal of improving transparency and giving clients more decision-making power.

On the app, clients can communicate with their advisor, receive video messages from them, access their MoneyMind and HonestConversations profiles, manage items on their to-do list, request changes to financial planning assumptions, upload and access documents and track their portfolios.

“Consumers spend up to five hours a day on their phones,” United Capital founder and CEO Joe Duran said. “Advisors who want to stay relevant to their clients need to be in their mobile devices. The GuideCenter app gives clients the tools they need to understand their financial lives and gives advisors a dynamic way to engage their clients untethered to geography.”
