Apex Bulks Up C-Suite

The digital custody and clearing firm is adding to its leadership ranks.

Apex Clearing added two executives to its leadership team, with the hiring of a Chief Technology Officer and a Chief Product Officer. The digital custody and clearing firm named Josh Gray, formerly at Citrix-owned web traffic optimizer Cedexis, as CTO, while Dustin Kirkland, a former Google employee, is the firm's new CPO.

Gray will be leading the charge for all Apex tech offerings, including developing and implementing new tech and “boosting” the firm’s status in the wealth management industry. Kirkland, who previously worked in Google Cloud and has experience integrating acquisitions made by the tech giant, will oversee marketing and competitive analyses.

"Both Josh and Dustin have impressive resumes, with past roles at some of the biggest tech companies in the world,” said Bill Capuzzi, CEO of Apex. “We have no doubt their combined skills and expertise will help to elevate Apex Clearing's technology capabilities for years to come."
