Pershing Hires Emily Schlosser as Jim Crowley's Replacement as COO

Emily Schlosser leaves Goldman Sachs to join BNY Mellon Pershing as its new COO, succeeding Jim Crowley, who was promoted to CEO a year ago.

BNY Mellon Pershing has hired Emily Schlosser, the former head of change for Goldman Sachs’ global markets division, as its new chief operating officer, replacing Jim Crowley, who was promoted to CEO of the organization about a year ago.

Prior to joining Goldman, where she served as a managing director for three years, Schlosser was the chief operating officer of corporate services at E*Trade for two years.

“Client experience is a critical driver of today's business decisions, and we believe this will continue for the foreseeable future,” said Crowley, in a statement. He also said that Schlosser has a proven track record for being an agent of corporate transformations that improve services for advisors and investors.

In 2017, Crowley was promoted to the COO position, after serving many years as chief relationship officer, when Lori Hardwick resigned from that position to pursue other endeavors.

He took over as CEO about a year ago, when Lisa Dolly stepped down after 37 years with the clearing and custody firm.
