Comings & Goings: October 2012

Fidelity Investments recently promoted Abigail Johnson to president of Fidelity Financial Services. She previously served as president of the personal, workplace and institutional services organization, which includes the retail and institutional brokerage divisions as well as retirement and benefit services. In her new role, she’ll continue to oversee those divisions, in addition to asset management, and corporate operations and function support groups.

Denise Morrison has joined Securities America as chief compliance officer from Morgan Keegan, where she served in a similar role. She’ll be responsible for advisory compliance; licensing; communication review; branch office exam; policies and procedures; surveillance; and client regulatory and inquiry groups.

Wells Fargo Advisors has named Eduardo Queen as strategy director, Diane Gabriel as head of the WellsTrade business, and Bob McCarthy as director of regulatory policy. Queen joins from Citi and Smith Barney, where he worked on new strategies and ventures for the high-net-worth and mass affluent markets. Gabriel is a former managing director with the Wells Fargo Advisors Financial Network branch network, while McCarthy was most recently director of regulatory compliance for Wells Fargo Advisors.
