$19 Billion Argent Financial Group Hires New Compliance Officer

Deanna Rankin, a Texas native, will oversee all regulatory compliance for the firm’s San Antonio-based trust company.

Deanna Rankin, a Texas native, is an industry veteran who worked at Frost Bank for 29 years, has now joined the San Antonio-based Argent Financial Group.

Rankin will be the trust company’s new chief compliance officer, continuing a career that has largely focused on risk and regulatory issues. She is a long-time member and past board member of the Fiduciary and Investment Risk Management Association.

She will report directly Charles Wade, Argent Financial Group’s chief operating officer.

Wade founded and served as chairman and CEO of The Trust Company before it became part of the Argent Financial Group, headquartered in Ruston, La. Argent Financial Group, which oversees more $19 billion in client assets, offers a broad range of wealth management services, including trust administration, investment management, family office services, oil and gas rights management, and estate planning.

For the first time, the firm was named one of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies and was included in Inc. Magazine’s annual Inc. 5000 List in 2018. Argent ranked 4,377 on a list of 5,000 small and mid-sized businesses across the country according to percentage revenue growth between 2014 and 2017. To qualify, revenues in 2014 must have been at least $100,000 and at least $2 million in 2017.
