National Holdings Acquires Boston-Based B/D

The purchase of Winslow, Evans & Crocker will add 50 advisors and $2.5 billion.

New York-based National Holdings Corporation, a publicly traded brokerage, investment banking and asset management firm, announced plans to buy Winslow, Evans & Crocker, a full-service broker/dealer and registered investment advisor in the Boston area.

Winslow would add 50 financial professionals and $2.5 billion in assets under management to National Holdings, which includes a full-service brokerage subsidiary, National Securities Corporation. The firm will operate as an independent broker/dealer and RIA subsidiary of National Holdings; its advisors will become employees of National. 

National Holdings expects the deal to be accretive to gross and adjusted EBITDA margins; terms of the deal were not disclosed. 

Winslow, established in 1991, has a trading desk, in-house life insurance agency, and capital markets and economic research services.
