Iowa Advisor Affiliates With Carson Wealth

Chris Graw and his five-member team are joining Carson Wealth's office in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Carson Wealth announced that Iowa financial advisor Chris Graw has decided to join its Cedar Rapids office headed by Russ Nieland.

Graw and his team of five manage $150 million, bringing the total amount of client assets at the Cedar Rapids office to about $650 million.

Graw and his team work primarily with individuals in retirement or looking to retire, business owners, physicians and dentists, and other high-income earners in their wealth accumulation years.

As with other advisors who have affiliated with Carson Wealth, Graw and Nieland will maintain active majority ownership of the Cedar Rapids firm and will remain the strategic decision-makers for all business decisions.

“I wanted to go independent but alongside a like-minded, strong strategic partner that could help me maximize my team’s talent and efforts," Graw said in a statement. "Carson has developed a proven process to help firms with advanced wealth planning, technology, compliance and so much more. They have done all the due diligence so that we can focus on serving our clients.”

According to Carson, Graw evaluated seven opportunities during a three-year research process before deciding to affiliate with Carson Wealth.

“Joining Carson Wealth has helped me outline my succession plan with Russ’s team," Graw said. "On my previous path I might have ended up deciding to sell the business. Now, I see myself continuing to do what I love, and I will have the space to lead and grow the next generation of advisors to serve our clients well into the future.”
