They have been around a while.  Not sure that they have a very good rep.

I just left W & R....Had a good first year there and moved on to somewhere where longevity is the goal. There funds in 05 did well though. They just have no national advertising. You have to explain to everyone who Waddell & Reed is. Hank Hermann the CEO is a stand-up guy though. He is respected on the street. Minimal training, products, and you have to expense everything. It really depends on who your branch manager is.

W&R sucks…  unless you like blue collar houses.

doesn’t sound like a place for anyone really trying to make it in this business.  The guys I see around locally typically have the $150 suits and look like they are there because their booze habbits cost them their real jobs at a wire…Just what I see locally.
