Just read on si.com that Wayne Chrebet(former Jets wideout) is a Morgan Stanley advisor in Red Bank, NJ… That has to be wierd, walk down the hallway and see him pouding away on the phones…newbie…
Wonder if he has a lot of players as clients..Hope he’s doing a better job for his NFL friends than Lenny Dykstra is doing for his MLB friends.
I’m in the mid west…we have an ex pro athlete - well known guy in local market.Very bright & grounded. Much easier intro on the phones than me…
I’m gonna bet he’s got some AUM and is not cold calling— and if he’s actually sharp, then he’s doing alright.
What is considered the midwest?? From Colorado to Penn? Or just those states around great lakes, iowa, ill, wis, ohio, ? I could never understand when people say midwest, is it mid or west or what? Everytime I hear it.... I think Chicago, because what else is thereI’m in the mid west…we have an ex pro athlete - well known guy in local market.Very bright & grounded. Um, Wayne Crebet cold calling?
More like showing up two days a week. That sounds like a business plan Morgan Stanley would get behind. I wonder if he handles Keyshawn Johnson's money?I met Clark Gilles a few weeks ago. He retired from Hockey, went to Pru, then bacame an advisor at RJ, for 15 years. Now works at an RIA, but just marketing (i think that means he plays golf alot), doesnt run money.
Chrebet had to retire because he had so many concussions. What’s going to happen when he starts banging his head on the desk after a tough call sessioni?

he’ll be begging to get hit by ray lewis… just no more calling MF strangers
People still cold call? What world is this? I thought they only hire people with family money or people who played wide reciever in the NFL.
