Thoughts, comments, rude gestures?

I know that there are a few bank reps on here.  Is there anybody in the mid-atlantic region that has a working knowledge of Suntrust Bank and their brokerage operation?

I can’t believe you threw out this question and no one has responded yet.

Without knowing anything about your particular situation, I can say that STI

is a bank with a mature brokerage platform and is now very saturated. The

affluent customer base has been exploited over the last 8 or so years.

Additionally, they are licensing the branch personnel to distribute insurance

and fixed annuitities and will refer only people who are not “risk-averse” or

those interested in 529 plans.

If you don’t mind working your ass off: to please the folks in retail banking

and chase down $1,000 529s and filling out an endless stream of call

reports and pipeline reports so management can have something to discuss

at all their meetings, or if you collecting from unemployment, then go for it.

BankFC used to work there.
