Relax! Life is good

To all FA's at AGE....Having started with Dean Witter - merged with Reynolds Securuties - merged with Sears - "released" by Sears - merged with Morgan - consumed by Morgan , etc. etc. everything worked out just fine. Believe me!
This is no time to make rash moves because of a negative perception. I now represent Wachovia, and, believe me, it's a good group. They are very concerned about the client unlike many Firms who will tell you they are, but the FA's know better.
As far as cultures, you may be surprised. However, the only constant in life is change. It's not so bad - concentrate on taking care of your clients - LIFE IS GOOD.....

The whole thing you said is right on.
I don’t think there is mass panic out there, like you imply.
But I do believe that there are a lot of smart people who see potential problems with the merger. I’ll admit that there are worse firms to work for than Wachovia. But can you blame people for keeping their options open?

I think there are a lot of smart recruiters out there that stand to make a buck if they can fan the flames and convince someone to jump elsewhere.

It sounds to me like JCadieux is not trying to fan the flames, but making a level-headed assessment of what he’s seeing from his side of the business.

[/quote]Uhhh, yeah…I’m NOT a recruiter.
This must be the AGE Branch Manager’s Forum. The BM’s who got BM gigs
out of all the mergers and consumptions.
It is in any BMs best interest to say “Life is Good”. Of course life is good if
you’re a BM or on that fast track. Many other firms are phasing out
producing BMs.
AGE_inside_info.....
No, I am not a BM. I wouldn't have that job for all the BBQ in St. Louie! I am just trying to be positive, and to let you know there are more important things in life.
Where you ply your trade is insignificant compared to your Family and friendships. No one likes change, but make sure your priorities are straight.
For instance, I just spent a week in Northern Wisconsin with a group of friends fishing. Now that is a priority....
