gottogo, I thought I heard they lost somebody big in the home office.  I don’t remember the details, but maybe someone else out there does.

My impression of NEXT is that they have a very unusual business card--perhaps it's printed sideways?

If I recall they have very few people on their B/D payroll--like less than 100 yet they've got about 1,000 reps.  Could be a problem with back office issues--and conceivably failure to supervise issues.

It's a pretty solid BD.  Jeff Auld (President), is leaving on August 31 to become the new President of Berthel Fisher in IA.  It is a quality of life move for he and his family as they are originally from the state.  Fred Fisher, one of the co-founders of BF, gave Jeff his first job in the industry as a rep with EDJ, 20+ years ago and they have kept in touch since then.

Gordon D'Angelo is the CEO and is based in Virginia Beach.  He will be taking over duties as President until they find a replacement.  Gordon started the firm in 1999 with a group of FAs that he brought over from Advantage Capital Corp, and they have now built it to 650+ reps across the country.  Pretty basic business model, but very aggressive leaders at the top.

I know both Gordon and Jeff and they are exceptional both personally, and professionally and understand that they don't get where they want to be without successful advisors working for the organization.

They are also very committed to advisor support, having continually beefed up the back office quite a bit.

I am a NEXT Rep. I joined back in 2002. So I've been with them durring their growth spurt. I have enjoyed every day with them. I have never had anything to complain about. There compliance is great, I no longer wait two months like I did with my former BD. Hold on to your seats, I almost always get it back in 24 hours. They ask for a couple of days but I personally havn't had to wait more than two days for an piece.

They are making huge in roads in Marketing and Rep Business Development. I personally knew Jeff Auld and he currently is 1/2 a mile from my office. He will be missed, but NEXT is moving on and up.

I’ve been with NEXT for two years.  Good people, technology has failed to keep up with the growth.  The leadership team are honest and competent.
