Heard today from a friend of mine at MSSB that there will be no retention for producers under $500K(let the movement begin).

Also heard that trails on accounts under $100K will not be paid on anymore or will be extremely low that it won't be worth it..

Isn’t this old news?  They announced their retention package last year.  Or are you saying they are reneging on the FA’s who didn’t do $500K in 2009, but did in 2008?

Not 100% correct - - sub $500K producers were eligible depending on LOS.

Pretty much correct.
Yes on the $500K retention part (announced many months ago) but the accounts under $100K was part of the recently announced 2010 comp plan.

They are not reneging, his friend is giving him news from six or eight months ago.  Nothing about the MSSB retention package has changed.
