Krawcheck's Training?

I loved the comment Krawcheck made regarding the source of new brokers going to ML. “We have a rich history of hiring & traing, growing our own.” BS…there is no effective way to “train” someone to do what we do, who will reach any significant level without being thrown a bone. For every 100 quota trainees hired at a firm, 2 or 3 might make it. It is almost sad to see the hope and ambition fade into…ohhhhhh how am I ever going to make this work. Keep Buying brokers…it’s the only way to build.

that aint MER. this job is hard.
ML Gone, I know there are a lot of producers on this board that have 2x the AUM that I do. But for all the smack you talk I was sure you had more than 30MM. If I only had 30MM after 7 years I would get of the message board and get to work.
Shania, please change your picture back to the old one. When I log on from my blackberry I see a full body shot, and I miss that.
I was there 7 years. I was one of 3 that made it from at least 75 trainees that I saw. There was no training program as far as I saw. Sink or swim. The culture is only becoming more that way. Hire Fire and pass the assets to the outside offices was the protocal.
Hee Hee but I took 30 million when I left…lol lol
LOS 7 and $30 million in assets is Quintile 5 at Merrill Lynch
$30 million in assets at 80bps is $240,000 in production
Good bye
