Advantage: You are unlikely to be fired in your first year or two for not being able to land enough new clients.

Disadvantage: Like others before you, you are unlikely to ever progress beyond being a secretary or a gopher for the guy who can bring in the business.

Ain’t nobody going to hand you nothin’ for nothin’.  

Just be careful to spend as much time negotiating your exit agreement as your entry agreement.
