Just over 2 yrs ago. The (former) finger waggin’ almighty and powerful (in their minds) jones-oz was “Revealed.” And they (jones) continue to exhort all to, “Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.” Lots of stuff has happened since Jan 2004. More to come??.

Not much has changed in 2 years. Black communication screens still in
use. No options. Internet delivered by state of the art “hi speed” 50
year old satellite system. Unquantifiable and vague responses from St
Louis when pressed about changes to join the rest of the modern world.
ETF’s are barely acknowledged and accompanied by disclaimer that
actively managed open end funds are far more suitable. A share funds
and A share annuities are solution to all situations. Culture and
values and toasts to Ted Jones are the daily mantra. Management insists
not much forward movement is possible until the regulators issue their
final rulings on revenue sharing, etc. Other than these minor issues,
everything’s up to date in St Louis.

Here's the lower part of that artlicle.

A GRAPE TIME: Monarch's Aaron Teitelbaum directed the festivities at his Maplewood restaurant on Saturday night to celebrate Dan Burkhardt's retirement after 28 years with Edward Jones.

A bevy of guests drank cases of Bethlehem Valley wine. Bethlehem Valley is the vineyard Dan and his wife, Connie Burkhardt, own in Marthasville. Dan, the former head of Jones' investment banking, plans to spend more time at the vineyard after his retirement.

In honor of that plan, guests dined on dozens of individual cream puffs that were arranged like grape clusters and cinched by pastry grape leaves. Among those enjoying the vino were: Darryl and Sue Vennard, Chuck and Cynthia Dressel, Pat Cummings, Bob and Mary Ciapciak, John and Kay Bachmann, Doug and Vicki Hill, Bill and Suzie Hizar, Jim and Pam Krekeler, Ray Robbins, Birdie Lamar, Marilyn and Mike Gaffney, Reiko and Seth Sherman and Raul and Mary Ellen Perez. Dan's son, Reid Burkhardt, flew in from San Diego as a surprise. He joined Dan's other kids - Katy, Libby and Britt - who live in St. Louis.

OK I know this is a huge stretch buy maybe Compliancejerk is mad because Jones paid a guy who never generated a profit(the IR is our only profit center) enough money to have a winery for a hobby.  My question is, who's branch did they bill for the party?
