Exit Interview

Just curious what the exit interview is like when you leave a brokerage? Any experiences?
Depending on the relationship with your manager you’ll either get a handshake and a good luck or a security escort out of the building.
mine was great, it was Sunday night and as I packed the last of my stuff in the office with a flash light, the buidling security guard gave me the thumbs up as I squealed out of the garage.
Although, I was really hoping for a "George Costanza" and drilll the cleaning lady on my desk and leave a stain for the BOM !!I simultaneously faxed my resignation letter and left a voice mail to the regional manager. 30 seconds later I get a call from the rm. “Why are you leaving! I can’t believe this after so many years! Don’t you realize all the great changes that are going to happen at bankofamerrillwide? What can I do to change your mind? Oh, and by the way, you know you have a non-compete, right?” That’s when the rm heard the ‘click’.
Mine was fine. Handshakes all around, hugs to all the girls, and goodbye. I even have lunch a couple of times a week with my old pals from there.
Glad to be gone, though.
They call you with the exit interview. Ask you why you left, yaddayaddayadda. Tell you that you have follow your contract. Real fun. You can give them some really bad data.
