Just mailed in my paperwork. At least I’m getting some extra cash for the

miserable year and a half I spent there 5 years ago.

I guess we can add Smith Barney to the list of happy guys getting paid!!!  Does anyone really think this will be a commission based job in 5 years?  (Except for Butler, he believes anything they tell him)

The only positive thing I could see coming out of this whole mess is the B/D having to cover any trade errors. I guess those who have to pay their assistants would benefit as well.

Poor fritz. He doesn't understand that there's a wiiidddeeee gap between "believing anything" that management says and believing him as he restates a rumor that not only makes zero business sense, but one that has passed it's deadline at least three times.

Anyone able to read as seen me say several times that management means exactly what they say, until they don't. That would make them just like your ex-wife, fritz. She said she'd stay with you forever, and she meant it, until she didn't mean it any more. 

Butler you are probably too stupid to understand this but I have only posted things I have been told by certain Management…Some of the guys who have said things have been let go themselves when they thought they were safe…So to spell it out, these clowns do not know what they are doing from day to day much less months in advance.  Hope this is simple enough for you to grasp…

You mean former management, right?  I suppose you figure Gorman let them in on his long range plans (even before he formed them), just as he showed them the door? Can't you figure out they were taking a SWAG?

What's simple enough for me to grasp is that your rumor has a "by date" that's passed three times AND it makes no business sense since it would require killing off 50+% of the sales force. Perhaps if you’d been in the business long enough to understand how it all works, this would be clearer to you.

You need to learn to separate water cooler rumor-mongering and the things your manager says to you to get a fire lit under you from reality.

BTW, my offer for the bet still stands. If you're so certain, you'd be a fool to let my money go....
