I have heard great things about Baird. And just starting to look at Stifel. Anyone care to add any information on either.

  I am looking to make a change from a wirehouse and want to look at all my options before I do. I have an offer that I am considering from another wirehouse, and I have thought of going independent. My last due diligence is on the regionals that look interesting.   I love the idea of Baird being employee owned. And I have read where it's consistantly one of the top places in the country to work.   Any information is much appreciated.   FYI, I have all the information I need on the independent channels and other options. Please keep your response to Baird and Stifel. Other regionals are not available where I am at.   Thanks

Baird is doing well with significantly larger producers and frankly targets bigger FAs and teams than Stifel in most cases. The deals vary substantially and are very dependent upon your production/assets as you can imagine. I have a good friend who runs the 2 Baird offices in the state I’m in and hear quite a bit about what they’re doing lately.
