Any Stifel info for FA team?

part of FA team in Southwest- anybody have news on Stifel? we are at a wirehouse and we are getting tired of lack of input and more bureaucracy of big firms. Does Stifel pay up fronts if a team is a little over $1.4?
Would really like to get back to a firm where the FA input is valued and where the support is there so there is help, not roadblocks, to come up with solutions to client issues. But, we would like to make sure we find a place where client has all the options and tools of a major wirehouse.
Any info on Stifel or suggestions would be appreciated.I think Stifel would be a great option for you, I moved in Jan, and it has been great so far.
You will get a transition package I am sure.
Latest I’ve heard from them is 80% deal over $400K. 70% of the 80% it is cash, 7 year note, the other 30% is SF stock deferred 8 years. Additional 8%/year for 5 years available if you hit reasonable bogies on production. They say this is to pay the taxes on the imputed up front money (the math works out to where it should cover the taxes). Yes, they talk to teams.
We have been looking seriously at them. Seems like a good option. I find myself looking for the negative but am having a hard finding a deal stopper. Not thrilled w/ their technology, but it is ok. It uses the same Thompson backbone that most of wallstreet uses. Most important to us is that the culture seems like the old AG Edwards where the client was first, the broker 2nd, and the rest took care of itself.
