AGE/Wachovia Road Show

Just returned from the AGE/Wachovia Road Show. It started two hours late.
No new information available. Mostly just an attempt to get us to stick
around. Danny has certainly been to charm school. Came across as pretty
genuine in his opening remarks. A little more rigid when speaking o him in
person after the meeting. I was really impressed with Jim Hayes, President
of the Private Client Group. Spoke with Jim for several minutes after the
meeting over a few Bud Lights and found him to be smart, easy going and
flexible about how to deal with various issues that several people brought
up.
I would be interested in other advisors impressions.
IllinoisRep, it's too bad Danny didn't bring any of those Mrs. Danny's chocolate chip cookies to the roadshow.
What do you think of the feature story (Danny's Army) in this month's issue of Registered Rep?
Also, a sidebar question: Are you a Cubs or Cards fan?

The cookies were too late for the Kool-Aid.
[/quote]Why are they bothering with these meetings when they actually have nothing to say? We have questions and they just give us back feel good script. I say build the firm and give us facts! You do realize the front $ contract is coming soon.

1. They want you to be able to look them in the eye and ask your question. Not a bad policy.
2. They really don't have all the answers yet to your questions. This is a process of trying to combine "the best of both firms". I'd be more worried if they DID know all the answers and just said, "here's how we do it @ WS...."
3. Contract is 'supposed' to be here this week.
