I spilled coffee on my headset and now I need to get another. This will be my 5th headset this year (I have a tendency to toss them on my desk, well more of a slam) I am tired of dropping 250 on headsets.

Anyone use a cheaper, non plantronics headset. I saw jabra has some cheaper ones.

Thank you!

Which model are you using?  I dropped my CS50 headset in the toilet a while back.  Haven’t replaced it yet, but I think you can just get a replacement headset without buying the whole package.  I’ve found them on eBay pretty cheap.

I thought of that too, right after I tossed the base unit.

Need we even ask what you were doing on the toilet with your headset on Spiff? Is the home office splitting 900 numbers 50/50 with FA's now?

Funny.

I had it in my shirt pocket.  Bent over to lift the lid (which my BOA appreciates) and it fell out of my pocket right into the toilet.  Took it out of the, thankfully, clean water, dried it off, took it apart as much as possible and hoped for the best.  Seems like it works just fine except that I don't get any sound coming through the speaker.  Strange that the rest of the electronics would work, but not that.

I have the headset that doubles as a bluetooth for my cell. It is pretty awesome, though I have inadvertantly thrown it in the washing machine before because it was in my pocket.

You can replace the headset for about $50 without having to do anything with the base.

I got the CS70… at the time you got a $150 rebate if you sent in your old headset(didn’t have to work). Also mine broke within the first six months and they sent me a replacement for free and a box to mail my broken one back.

my CS50 takes a beating had it 3 years

Don’t skimp on work tools. Most brokers spend all day on the phone, get the best thing going.

Gaddock,

you’ re are very correct

I bought a cheaper Jabra headset and I returned it after using it for 5 minutes. I ended up replacing my broken headset with the same model I had before.

Now that I know I can buy the replacement headset I won’t be so quick to toss the base

I have my own headset now and I am really really careful in using it because I don’t wanna spend another bucks for that…No no man…LOL… But if that happens, guess I have to do another kickboxing bet with my brother so I can afford to buy another one… LOL

CS50 is the best. I’ve had mine for 5 years and have never had service.
