Despite the fact that the Technology page gets about as much foot traffic as the Republican Student Alliance at the University of Oregon or U. of Cal Berkeley, I still figured I’d vent about the technology within Ameriprise.  For the last 5 hours every single advisor program has been down, and its not a new issue.  At least two or three times a month there will be a system outage that affects the majority of advisor website programs for several hours.  Our tech guy Glen Salow makes many millions of dollars per year, but that retarded fool has got to go.  How many times are we going to get notifications and bulletins letting us know that we have a “Top in the Industry” tech platform or we are “revolutionizing” the way that the industry does technology before someone throws a banana cream pie in this Salow guys face and ships him back on the next raft to Cuba?  Tell me there’s at least one more Amp advisor on this site thats with me on this.

Another day down… Good freakin grief!!!

I think Salow’s doing this on purpose.  He hasn’t had any new non-functional technology to roll out lately so he’s gotten bored.  He needed to distribute a bug within the software so he could swoop in like a hero and take an entire day and a half to save our program.  As he gives Crachiollo a victory bow and pats himself on the back he will surely accept the 15% raise that will offered to him soon enough.

Thompson One, the new platform that is still in test mode and available to a select few, that will be updated and changed 5 times in the next 10 months, never missed a beat! I can’t wait until we are done with this 70’s show and move into the new millenium sometime soon!!
But what the hell… THANKS FOR THE WORK AROUND GLEN!! you dick-knuckle

Woooooo ol’ Cracchiolo laying the wood publicly to Salow!  Did you get the e-mail sent to P2’s?  “I have made it clear to Glen Salow that this outage is unacceptable.”  Yes, yes it is.  I’d prefer in the future to not have many full days without use of my computer, if at all possible.

Good, I hope the damn one month credit comes out of Glen’s ass and check. I can understand something breaks and you have to swap it out for another server or whatever but this was RIDICULOUS!! It was good to get back to basics for a day but man you never know how much you need these damn robot boxes until their down!
