Series 66 Material

Passed my 7 today so I am on to the 66. Any insight on who to use for the exam prep? I get Fire Solutions from work but I have heard it isn't good for the 66 and the guy next to me recommended Kaplan's Q-Bank and Book. What have you used that has been updated?
Fire Solutions for 66 is not recommended. Great for 7. Bad for 66. I used TestTeachers.com with great success.
I passed the 66 in February. I used Kaplan ( I also used them for the 7). I scored higher on the test than I did in all but one practice test. Kaplan does a very good job of over preparing you for exam if you put in the work.

I did that before posting but there were a lack of threads on the best study materials since the change in Jan 2010. Most of the ones I found were prior to that. Thanks for the responses everyone.
Good luck. My best tip on any test, is 30-50 flash cards, flip through them until memorized. Helps with the tricky stuff.
I just finished series 66 and passed with 94. I used test teachers and pass perfect and studied for 5 weeks. since I am starting the firm in MO, I needed atleast 80. I would recommend both of those. I also used BigFirePower tip using flash cards and that helped me a lot. thanks BigFirePower

Thanks. I ended up passing it yesterday using Kaplan and some flashcards. Congrats to you too.
I have met at least 3 people that have used Training Consultants and passed on the first attempt. The book is only 125 pages, but the course material is just what you need to know to pass. I just took the Series 66 today and passed on the first attempt with an 87%. About 25 questions were almost identical. The rest of the material was what I needed to know.
So, I can't recommend them enough. I hope that it helps.
It is actually important to listen to the tutorials, there is additional information in them. So, you should buy the program.
Hello All!
I am taking the Series 66 in 3 weeks! I have been reading Kaplan, and using the Q-Bank they provide onilne. I have also been using STC practice exams. Just wondering if anyone out there has recently passed the exam using either of these study methods. I understand the areas I need to focus on, but I am just curious of insight as to these two study materials and if you can give me any pointers on the test these days. a 75%?? that is what I am most nervous about! I know the more I study, the better I will do, however, after studying for the Series 7, I am simply STUDIED out :) Anyway, please give me any pointers you can if you have recently passed the Series 66, etc etc etc. thank youuuuu much!!!

Took the exam today and got a 91%. A lot of the exam questions were nearly verbatim from TC testing material. I am a PMD, and I used Fire Solutions as the foundation knowledge, and used TC exams to bring it home. If you want to pass the 66 first time..GET TRAINING CONSULTANTS!
Can someone sell me Training Consultants Series 66 study book please? I am taking my test next week & don't want to spend $125 on that. Thanks
FOR SALE: TRAINING CONSULTANTS SERIES 66 TEST MATERIALS. LOG-IN DETAILS AND WORKBOOK - $200
By far the best study program for passing the Series 66. I used STC the
first time and failed. Then I got Training Consultants and scored a
87%! This program focuses on what the test ACTUALLY tests you on and
gives you the information in the same style they use on the test. The
first part of the program contains a 125 page workbook (soft cover) with
an index that explains all concepts and makes it easier for you to
remember the content. The second part is found online at the training
consultants website which contains lectures in a powerpoint format. It
also contains 5 full practice exams and one random final. The practice
exams are very similar to the real exam to the point that when I took
the real exam I recognized about 15 questions and knew the answer
instantly…word for word. This program cost me $300, including the
expedited shipping I needed but I am willing to offer it under the
retail price. It’s amazing and the most effective method of preparing
for your Series 66.
I am located in New York City and work in midtown and can meet in the evening to sell you the textbook
and login details. Reply to this post and we can discuss where is
convenient to meet.
that's a bit expensive, ay? It only costs $225 on the website. I will sell the same to someone for $100. :-)
I am willing to sell Training Consultants test access for $40. It expires in feb 2012. Works like charm.
I failed the 66 yesterday with a 70 -- I used STC. I Felt like the emphasis was put on the wrong materials. I came here and bought training consultants, immediately.
Question: If I am getting greens on all the tests with TC, what are my chances of failing again? Thanks.

If you are interested in buying TC I will sell it to you for $200. Any chance you are in NYC, I would like to meet in order to give you the materials. Let me know and I will hold it for you.
