After review of several topics in searching for information about the fa job itself, just wanted to say I found the link planrcoach provided to be the most comprehensive, complete and helpful.  Very insightful and professional:  good info!  Liked the photo graphics, too.

Thanks!

Don't rush me off.  Just ignore my posts.  Works for me.

"Good for you!

Bye bye then!" - don't respond to my posts.  Clear enough?

Terrific!

That's great.  Thanks for sharing.

It doesn't make you appear any less stupid in my eyes.  If you must, post away.   It's a free country.

Thank you.  Don't really have much more to post at this time; just dislike it when someone tries to bully me off the site.

Joe, I just knew you were a nice person.

SexyLady,

You are the typical Suze fan.  Cheap, want everything for nothing, etc.  That’s why you came on this site in the first place, to try to rally all of us to give out free financial advice.

See, we, unlike Suze, don’t do this as entertainment.  It is a PROFESSION.  It is ILLEGAL to dispense “free advice” without "knowing your customer as pursuant to NASD RULE 405.

So please, stay and learn if you wish.  But don’t assume you already know it all, or that your way (idol worship of Suze Orman) is going to be very well respected amongst real professionals.

Feb 11, 2007 6:53 pm

I can't say that I would learn anything on this site since you don't try to help anyone for FREE.  I mentioned that I was contemplating learning about the career; I stated that's why I admire Suze because she is so helpful to people.
If it were illegal to give free advice (she gets paid for doing her show) then seems she would have been arrested.

I haven't learned anything on this site nor will I due to all of the nastiness from you so called "professionals".

I don't have a desire to post but wanted to respond to the post since bankfc is wrong.

There are many, many financial books and I can get all of the "cheap" advice I want by purchasing these books or by getting them at my local library.

I don't find Suze Orman being the allknowing and I do read many other financial books besides hers.

In a nutshell, Suze is like Dr. Phil: they were recognized as wanting to help people and therefore, they just have their own show.

If Suze Orman was wrong or is a lousy financial advisor, it is very doubtful that her show would still be on the air after several years.

I don't have a Suze Orman shrine but I definitely even like her better after hearing from the likes of you.

In my opinion, if anyone was even interested in hiring an fa and they log onto this site and see how you people personally attack a non-fa, they'd never ever consider hiring any of you.

If I want to hire an fa, I will ask if they post on this site and then I'd check their posts to see how they TREAT other people.

No charge for this FREE advice:  act more professional: since you all claim to be "PROFESSIONALS".

Oh, I don't know about that.  The Gong Show was pretty popular for some time and people currently watch American Idol and Survivor. Not exactly the pinacle of sophisticated entertainment.

If you aren't our favorite troll already, then go ahead and become a financial advisor. Most people take 3 to 5 years to reach their stride with training and building a book of buisness.  One thing you will need to do is cultivate a thicker skin.  Rejection from prospects is the least of your emotional hurdles.

The poor treatment you are getting is due to the fact that you are holding up as a role model someone who most of us consider to be at best a joke and at worst a self serving woman who denigrates what we do as a profession.  Try seeing how much of a warm reception you would get from the military if you state that John Kerry is your hero and role model.  Same thing.

Nuts - I thought you were going to reference Jane Fonda.

What is a troll?

Isn't that someone looking for something.  You've already made it clear that none of you will give out any free advice or that none of you want to be helpful.  So posting here just mades me a troll then.

ok, have it your way.

I will say that I have changed my opinion of some: Mr. A isn't so bad for an exhibitionist who thinks he has some stuff to strutt; joethebroker is really ok; bondman, even babllng looney is less rude; planrcoach is never rude but does have some "deep" thoughts.  There's hope in the world.  I can rest better now.

Here, let me do it for you Kvetchy:

good for you, bye bye now.  ...and my response is stick it in your ear, bud. I don't leave until I am ready.

My work here is done.  Byebye Kvetchy.

Sybil has nothing on our resident troll.  Are our heads spinning faster than Linda Blair?  I know I'm amused.

A troll is someone who throws out a multitude of lines with bait on them and hopes that some dumb fish will bite.

LOL.... deep thoughts .... Jack Handy  My sentiments exactly
