I am a CSA with JPM PWM and want to get out and do something sales related.  Goldman Sachs (Chicago) currently has an opening for an internal wholesaler.  I am debating if I should apply for that position or wait until JPM Funds has an opening for internal.  Any thoughts?

Personally I don't know if being a wholesaler has a bright future.  The days of using one fund family are slowly going away so it is hard to find your "go too" advisors who will sell a lot for you.  With that said I think you would be better off waiting for JPM to have an opening, better funds, better reputation and one less career move if you find out you don't like it one year in.
