I had actually tried both a topic search and a post search and nothing came up....

I am with Next. Very satisfied so far(previously at EDJ). Back office is very helpful in getting things done that the reps need. Just added a new mutual fund agreement pretty easily with no questions asked. For specific info pm me.

NEXT Financial appears to be a decent broker-dealer but I do recall a rather significant thread about them as iceco1d mentions.  From what I recall, the thread included some very positive as well as some constructive criticism of the firm.  They have recently been fined by the SEC for violations of Reg-SP which I know is a matter of extreme importance to all independent B/D’s and Reg-SP is being actively pursued by the FSI.

Evening reading on Reg-SP:

They have disclosed previously that they are adding another B/D under the NEXT corp, but separate from the existing one. And that b/d will clear through National Financial Services instead of Pershing

The firm sucks - unless it involves selling used cars; avoid it, so many better options out there.  Put several broker/dealer names on a board, throw a dart at them and you would make a better selection with the one the dart hits.

Do a search on "next financial bad firm" for more in depth.  Nothings changed except their COO being investigated, that new b/d being denied and continuous back office turnover.
