You are licensed by the state, not the annuity company.  Beyond that, your appointments will not carry over from your previous firm.   The simplest way to get appointed is contact your B/D with a list of carriers you would like to use.  You can contact the insurance company directly as well.  At the very least, you will find out right away who your wholesale rep is.
