I'm one of the unlucky ones who lost Broker Vision with the demise of A.G. Edwards and now and forced to used the inept Wachovia Securities Contact Management.

As Indies, what are you all using for your contact management software?  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Check out Redtail, EZ data… or of course for bigger spenders IAS.

I used ACT for dos all the way up to the current ACT.  Goldmine is also a consideration, but I prefer ACT.

I would have said Redtail, but a recent outage where I couldn’t access emails for two days or my contacts has me rethinking the idea of a web provided service

Try zoho.com  They have a free CRM tool that you can use.  They start charging once you get above 3 users.  Also look at the Tech forum... there is a few threads on this topic.

Good Luck.

yeah, that sucked. Luckily, LPL won't let us run our emails through them, or I would have been hosed. I asked them about redundancy, and they told me that they have a plan in place, but that they have to be down 24 hours before it kicks in. That's weird.

your lucky. Email is still on and off for me today. CRM was useless. I sent my staff home at noon. I’ve wasted three days.

I lost brokervision also and after one look at Wachovia's contact management system I said to myself "this is a piece of Sh_t. There is no f_ing way I'm going to use this crap".   So I purchased and installed ACT. It works very well and it is supported by Wachovia. It was a pain in the ass to figure out but works good now.  I think it's better than brokervision (it can do more) but it requires a little more getting used to. If you PM me I'll tell you how to get going and give you some tips that should save you time.

I use ACT for Financial Advisors.  Works well!
