Just curious if your BD has a policy on being interviewed on TV or Radio. If so, what is it? If you've done any media appearances, did you find that you got any business directly from it or only that it helped to be able to say you did it? I'm only putting this in indy since I'm assuming there's not a snowball's chance it hell media appearances are approved at most wires.

Obviously……..every OSJ is different. Certainly isn’t illegal. I disclose the event “before” it happens to my OSJ, make sure to ask them for necessary disclaimers. Then get a recording or tape and send it off to them after the event.

Does it help? You bet. As long as you are confident but not cocky. Do not get caught in performance discussions, it will only lead to trouble.

It will help your ego (sorry…..we all have one). As well, it may help you get future speaking gigs. Use it and market it. Put it on your website, reference it on brochures, blast it on YouTube (e.g  - listen to my latest interview on.....). It will help and it can be kinda fun. Make sure you tell them that you are willing to be available for any future related discussions. Good luck. Let us know how it went, if you do it.
